The Strada del Ponale connects Riva del Garda and the Valle di Ledro. Originally built in the second half of the 19th century, it was replaced by a modern tunnel only 20 years ago. Since 2004 it has been closed to traffic and limited to cyclists and hikers. Thanks to its position and architecture, the old Strada del Ponale is one of the most beautiful historical panoramic roads in Europe.
We start our hiking tour in the centre of the village Riva del Garda and hike along the shores of the lake, passing the old hydropower station. After about 1 km we cross the Gardesana road and follow the signpost D01 towards Ledro. Soon we reach the wonderful panoramic trail carved into the rocks and leading through small tunnels.
After further two km of steady and gentle gradient the trail turns right and we look down to the beautiful bay at the entrance of the Valle di Ledro. Here, the road divides into a bicycle track and a hiking trail. We cross a bridge before we hike up some steps to reach a forest road. From here, we continue our tour into the Valle di Ledro. After a short asphalted section (Pregasina road) we pass the village Biacesa. Crossing the village Pre di Ledro we hike upwards towards Molina di Ledro and finally reach Lake Ledro with its very interesting pile-dwelling museum.
From Cervano you can see a majestic mountain called Monte Castello.
If you like trekking, in 2 h you can arrive on the top and see the beautiful panorama of Toscolano and the south of lake Garda, the trail is sunny and shadowed, full of amazing flowers, easy in the first part, at the end it becomes more difficult but not impossible and, when you arrive on the top, you’ll have fun to find Cervano!
If you want to have a shorter version you can start from Navazzo, is about 50 minutes
The path signal is 21
The Sanctuary of Montecastello is located just below the peak of Monte Castello, on a spur of rock sheer above the lake, with magnificent panoramic views.
With its wonderful air of spirituality and peace, its history, artistic & architectural beauty, and marvellous location, it is one of the most famous and well-loved sacred places of Lake Garda.
For centuries it has been a place of pilgrimage and devotion, particularly to the Blessed Virgin Mary, who is portrayed in an antique and miraculous fresco behind the main altar.
The Sanctuary is open from the 25th march to the 31st october 2018, from 9.00 a.m. until 6.30 p.m.
Mass: From May to September on Sunday, 5.00 p.m.
Summer is coming and the best way to go around lake Garda is by boat, less traffic, more fun, we can suggest you 2 different options:
Bee Boat a guided trip with by a professional captain, maximum 20 people, drop off point in Salò.
if you are brave and want to discover lake Garda alone, no licence necessary, maximum 7 people for boat, drop off point in Gargnano.

This authorization will be issued upon presentation of a medical report that certifies that the future bride is not pregnant.
If either or both spouses are divorced, the Registrar of the chosen municipality will also require the original Divorce Decree, apostilled (from the DFAT in Lonsdale Street) and officially translated into Italian.
The wedding ceremony must be attended by: the bride, the groom, two witnesses (plus one interpreter if the couple does not speak Italian).
